A list of Caliphs from the Liber Calipharum
A note on the Life of Muḥammad, the Apostle of God, after he entered into his city, and three months before he entered, from his first year, and how long each king who rose up after him over the Hagarenes lived after they began to rule, and how long there was fitna among them.
Three months before Muḥammad came.
And Muḥammad lived ten years.
And Abū Bakr bar Abū Quḥpā (sc. b. Abī Quḥāfa) two years and six months.
And ‘Umar b. Khattāb ten years and three months.
And ‘Uthmān b. ‘Affān twelve years.
And a fitna after ‘Uthmān, five years and four months.
And Muʽāwiya b. Abī Sufyān, nineteen years and two months.
And Yazīd b. Muʽāwiya, three years and eight months.
And a fitna after Yazīd, nine months.
And Marwān b. Ḥakam, nine months.
And ‘Abd al-Malik b. Marwān, twenty-one years and one month.
Walīd b. ‘Abd al-Malik, nine years and eight months.
And Sulaymān b. ‘Abd al-Malik, two years and nine months.
And ‘Umar b. ‘Abd al-‘Azīz, two years and five months.
And Yazīd b. ‘Abd al-Malik, four years and one month and two days.
All the years add up to 104 years and 5 months and two days.
